Advanced Medical Optics MoisturePlus Contact Lens Solution
Advanced Medical Optics MoisturePlus Multi-Purpose Soultion has been voluntarily recalled by the manufacturer due to its link to dangerous eye infections, based on information provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
On May 25, 2007 the CDC issued a warning for those using the contact lens cleaning solution Complete MoisturePlus Multi-Purpose Solution from Advanced Medical Optics (AMO) because the product has been linked to a number of cases of the rare but painful eye disease, Acanthamoeba keratitis. The disease can lead to permanent vision loss or blindness.
